Q.1 Afterpay is not loading? Here is how to fix it.

Loading issues with the Afterpay app can occur due to several reasons, including a server outage, site maintenance, or a slow or unstable internet connection, among others. Try the solutions listed below:

Fix1# Close and Restart the application: If your Afterpay app is not loading, the first thing you should do is try force-quitting and restarting it. Most of the time, apps do not work fine if they are active for an extended period of time. Simply closing and re-opening them resolves connection and opening errors.

Fix2# Check if the internet connection is fast and stable:

You should try the internet speed test on Google to check whether your internet connection is offering the required speed for apps to run smoothly.

It is advised to have at least 10 Mbps internet speed for Wi-Fi to run apps seamlessly. If your internet connection is unstable or running too slowly, try these fixes:

  • If you’re using cellular data, make sure you have an active data plan and haven’t reached your daily data limit.
  • Close all other programs or apps that are running in the background because they may slow down the loading speed of any app you are operating.
  • Try switching OFF and ON cellular data.
  • Try turning ON and OFF airplane mode.
  • If you are connected to Wi-Fi, try disconnecting and reconnecting via your device.
  • Try turning OFF and ON the modem and router.
  • Check that all of the cable wires are properly connected; if they are, unplug them and reconnect them.
  • Take out your SIM card, clean it, and replace it.
  • Try changing DNS settings if none of the above works.
  • Contact your internet service provider.

Fix3# Reset Network settings: If the internet issue on your device still persists, try resetting network settings; it is possible that you have set up incorrect network settings, which might be causing problems connecting to the network. Here is how to reset network settings:

On iOS:

  • Open Settings.
  • Then tap General.
  • Tap Reset.
  • Finally, tap Reset Network Settings.

On Android:

  • Open Settings.
  • Tap System.
  • Selected Advanced.
  • Tap Reset options.
  • Tap Reset network settings.
  • Lastly, tap Reset settings.

Fix4# Delete app caches; buggy caches saved in your app may cause issues loading it. You should try it because it is one of the most effective solutions for fixing app-related problems.

How to delete app caches:

On iOS:

  • Open Settings.
  • Now tap General.
  • Click iPhone storage.
  • Select Afterpay and tap on the OFFLOAD app.

  • Then tap Apps.
  • Select Installed Applications.
  • Now find the Afterpay app.
  • Tap the Storage Tab.
  • Click the Clear Storage/Clear Data.

Note: To free up storage space for the app, try deleting your device’s browsing data. Here is how to do that: To clear your browsing history and cookies, navigate to Settings>Safari and select Clear History and Website Data.

Fix5# Enable local network permission: Certain apps require permission to access your device’s local network to function. It’s possible that you haven’t granted the app access to your device’s local network. Here’s how to give permission to this finance app to access the local network of your iOS device.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Privacy.
  3. Tap Local Network.
  4. Slide the toggle next to the Afterpay app to allow it to access the local network.

  2. Now, choose Privacy.

The apps usually crash due to a couple of reasons, such as outdated apps, corrupted app cache data, incorrect settings, and more. Try the following fixes if your app is crashing:

Fix1# Delete & Re-install the Afterpay app: If your app is crashing, try deleting and reinstalling it. You are likely using an outdated version of the app, which more often causes problems.

Sometimes apps may also get corrupted after an operating system upgrade. If the app is crashing, the simplest solution is to delete and reinstall it. Here’s how to do that:

  • Navigate to the home screen of your iPhone.
  • Long-press this buy now pay later app until a panel appears, then tap Remove to delete it.
  • Go to the Apple Store and download the most recent version.

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Now tap General

If your Afterpay app is stuck on a white, black, or blank screen when you launch it try the troubleshooting steps below.

How to close the app:

  1. Double-tap the home button on your iPhone to access all the apps that are currently running in the background.
  2. Now swipe right to left or vice-versa to look for this buy-now-pay-later app.

  3. Disable all the Afterpay-enabled toggles.
  4. Now turn them back on.

Fix3# Update your device’s OS to the most recent version:

Here is how to update OS:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Now tap General.
  3. Select Software update to see if there is any update available.

Fix4# Delete and reinstall the App:

The Afterpay app might not work if you are using its outdated version. It is also possible that an operating system update has corrupted some of the installed applications, including this buy-now-pay-later app. In these circumstances, you should try deleting the current version of the app and downloading the most recent version to see if it works.

Q.4 Can’t log in or having other account-related issues.

Sometimes in hurry, we may enter incorrect login details that cause issues logging in. So, double-check your login details if you’re unable to log in to Afterpay.

There are many reasons for being unable to log into an app, but this is the most common. Let’s talk about some additional causes and their solutions as well.

On iOS:

Fix3# Reset All settings:

An effective way of fixing issues with logging in and other account-related problems is resetting all settings. It’s more likely that wrong smartphone settings are to blame for your trouble logging in to Afterpay.

When you reset the settings on your iPhone or Android smartphone, all the saved settings, including passwords, Wi-Fi and cellular data settings, control center settings, and settings saved for different apps, including the Afterpay app, will get erase. How to:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to General.
  3. Select the Reset option.
  4. Tap Reset All Settings.
  5. Now confirm the command by again tapping Reset All settings.
  6. Check if you can now log into the app without any hurdle.

Fix4# If the problem still exists, you must try erasing all content and settings or factory resetting your phone.

It is possible that the corrupted data stored in your device is causing the problem. To fix the issue you must factory reset your phone which will erase all the data saved.

Make sure to create a backup to iCloud since factory resetting your phone erases all of the data saved on your smartphone.

Here’s how to factory reset your iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Now tap General.
  3. Tap Transfer or Reset iPhone.

Here is how to do that:

  1. Open the Settings.
  2. Tap Safari.
  3. Next, tap the Extensions.

Q.5 Unable to install or update the Afterpay? Fixes!

Afterpay is a fantastic tool, and we’ve all used it many times in our day-to-day lives. But what if something goes wrong? There are a few things that can go wrong with Afterpay: you’re unable to install it on your phone, or you’re unable to update it. If you experience either of these issues, fear not. Simply follow these instructions and you’ll be good as new in no time at all.

The solutions will work for both Android and iOS devices. We’d love to hear from you if it doesn’t work for you—send us an email here, or reach out via social media (we’re most active on Facebook). Let’s get started.

#1: Update your phone software: If you’re having trouble installing Afterpay on your phone, your device’s outdated OS could be causing it: which means your phone needs updating. To do so, you’ll need to go to your phone settings, then check for updates.

Free up some storage space by clearing your device’s caches and doing a factory reset, or deleting any unnecessary files. After that install Afterpay once again and see if it works.

Fix3# Check your internet speed: You may have an unstable or slow internet connection if the Afterpay app is not installed or updating on your phone. Make sure that you have a stable internet connection and try again. Try turning ON and off Airplane mode if your internet connection is weak. Also, make sure that your Wi-Fi (if using) signal is strong enough for downloading purposes.

Fix5# Enable Location & Services:

You might need to enable location and services on your device if the Afterpay App is not installing or updating because the app uses your location even when it isn’t open. If you haven’t already enabled location services on your device, you must give it a try.

How to:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Select Privacy.
  • Tap Location Services.
  • Turn ON the location services toggle.

Q. 6 Afterpay website is not working on Chrome.

Ans: If you’re trying to access Afterpay on a Chrome browser, there’s a chance that your connection is not working properly. Try closing and restarting your browser.

Check if the website is down, when a website receives overcrowded traffic at any time, it goes down. Consequently, users can not access it until the issue is resolved. So, first, confirm whether the site is down or not by visiting sites like Downdetector or Website Planet. If it is actually down, the only solution in this situation is to wait for some time and try again later.

Secondly, try deleting browsing data; this will clear all cookies and caches stored in your browser. Next, try disabling any extensions or add-ons-running in your browser (especially ad blockers).

If the problem still persists, try accessing Afterpay on another device such as your phone or tablet. If none of these work, switch to other browsers like Safari or Firefox. Once you have tried these steps, please let us know if they worked for you. We would love to hear from you.
